The Topcon LM-8 Lensmeter features an improved optical system with newly coated optics, and a sharper target image for fatigue free operation.
The new LED illuminated target revolutionizes lensometry with brighter, glare free viewing. The instrument features an American-style crosshair target that is familiar to many users.
A newly designed high and wide field eyepiece provides less shading effect. With an easier view, the measurement procedure becomes less fatiguing.
The LM-8 also includes a new cartridge type marking device that makes the dot targets more noticeable, especially on A/R coated lenses. The new cartridges are less cumbersome to replace than earlier ink pad assemblies.
Additional features include contact lens measurement and a built-in prism compensator, which allows for measurement of lenses with prismatic power above 5 diopters.
The LM-8 is available with an internal (model LM-8) or an external (model LM-8E) reading scale.
